Mesut Korkmaz
Mesut Korkmaz is the founder of MEKOR. He studied Law at Leiden University, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Oxford (Balliol College). After his studies, he worked for many years at one of the world’s leading law firms, where he gained extensive experience in complex legal matters.
However, in that environment, he missed the opportunity to also support private individuals, startups, and growing businesses with a clear vision. “People who aren’t just looking for a risk adviser, but for a lawyer who actively thinks along with their business,” as he puts it.
This is precisely why Mesut decided to start his own firm. At MEKOR, he combines his broad international experience with a personal approach. He believes in accessible legal services that go beyond simply solving a problem: “I want to support entrepreneurs and individuals by thinking along with them about the growth of their business and the next steps in their lives.”
Outside of work, Mesut enjoys contributing to the community, for example as a volunteer and football coach. He finds it important to give back and help others move forward. In addition, he enjoys reading and writing—not just to inspire and relax himself, but also to share his insights and expertise with others.
